Anointing of the Sick

If you or a loved one is in a hospital or care facility within the region served by the Archdiocese (Bergen, Essex, Hudson or Union counties), ask the facility to connect you with its pastoral care team.
In sacramental emergencies (for example, a Catholic near death requesting Last Rites), contact the nearest parish immediately and ask for a priest, stating it is a sacramental emergency.

Genealogical Research

The Archdiocese recognizes the value of sacramental records to family historians and, therefore, makes nearly 100 years of records available.

Our Archives offer access to microfilm copies of parish sacramental records from 1830-1930.
These records are available for genealogical purposes and can be reviewed upon request.
