Coordinator, Ministry of Loss and Healing (Part Time), Office for Family Life Ministry
SALARY: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (up to 22 hours per week)

General Description
This position develops, facilitates and manages programming in support of and in service to the human family in all stages of their development. Including but not limited to bereavement, divorced and separated, mental health, addiction, and a variety of counseling opportunities, all of which are rooted in the Catholic tradition.
Qualifications/Skills
- Must be a practicing Catholic
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint), Canva, desktop publishing, internet, and social media platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Group facilitation skills
Revised 04/30/2025 - Availability for evening and weekend work when required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) capability is an asset
- Proficiency with remote tools including video conferencing
- Experience in handling individual and family crisis situations and familiarity with proper related procedures (reporting, referrals, etc.)
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social services (e.g. social work, pastoral ministry, psychology, education, etc.) required
- Master’s Degree in related field desirable
- Recognized certified training in related field as necessary
- Familiarity with a variety of bereavement, mental health, addiction, and divorced/separated programs
- Practical/theoretical background in loss and transition following major life events
- Experience in support group facilitation
- Familiarity with hospice/palliative care
