Director of Religious Education, St. Thomas More Church, Fairfield, NJ

General Description

The Director of Religious Education reports to the Pastor and is responsible for the religious education program for parish children from Grades 1 through 9; for Sacrament preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation; for organizing a one-week Vacation Bible School and for being an active member of the Parish Staff.

Qualifications/Skills

Proficiency in writing and communication skills
Computer and device knowledge including Microsoft Office and Gmail
Common office equipment usage of copiers, scanners, and printers
Familiar or adaptable to learning and using various social media, digital and virtual communication and meeting platforms and products (i.e., Zoom, Instagram, Parish Soft Systems).

Education and/or Experience

College degree preferred with some emphasis on theology.
