Father’s Day Gift Giveaway in Newark| June 14

The Archdiocese of Newark’s Mercy House will celebrate the fathers and families it serves by distributing about 200 bags filled with men’s grooming products, T-shirts, protein drinks, and other items during its first Father’s Day Gift Giveaway in Newark at 11 a.m.

The Father’s Day Gift Giveaway is a way for The Mercy House to honor and recognize fathers’ essential roles in families and the community. This initiative reflects The Mercy House’s commitment to family values and appreciation for a father’s love and sacrifices, fostering family unity, and community support in accordance with Catholic teachings.

Cheryl A. Riley, director of The Mercy House, will lead a team of dedicated staff and volunteers to welcome fathers, distribute gift bags, and spread Father’s Day cheer.

The Mercy House regularly provides nonperishable food, clothing, baby supplies, furniture, and help finding work and housing for anyone in need. It has locations in Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. For more information, visit www.rcan.org/mercy-house.
