Annual Memorial Mass for deceased clergy; Memorial concert on Cemetery Sunday

Each year during the month of All Souls, the Archdiocese of Newark gathers in prayerful remembrance of our departed clergy—Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, and Deacons—who faithfully served the people of God.

The 2025 Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, will preside as principal celebrant.

All members of the Archdiocesan community—clergy, religious, and lay faithful—are warmly invited to attend this sacred liturgy of remembrance and thanksgiving.

Clergy wishing to participate in the Mass are asked to RSVP to Graceann DelMauro.
