Music Minister (Full Time or Part Time) – Church of the Nativity, Midland Park

Full Time:

SALARY: $42,000 – $50,000 per year

BENEFITS: Health Insurance (Medical/Prescription/Vision), Dental Insurance, Basic Life & AD&D Insurance, Pension Plan, Short-Term Disability, Voluntary 403b Plan (Pre-Tax & Roth), 20 days of personal time off (PTO) which includes vacation and sick time, 7 days of continuing education.

Part Time:

SALARY: $24.00 per hour (24 hours per week)

BENEFITS: No benefits

General Description

Church of the Nativity Parish wishes to continue its excellence in sacred music, delivering high quality piano and organ music in the church.  The Music Minister is responsible for the entirety of the music ministry at the parish and serves as organist and choirmaster for the church.

Qualifications/Skills

• High-caliber liturgical musician with significant experience
• Very strong skills in organ performance, improvisation, piano accompaniment, choral rehearsal technique and direction
• Highly dependable and organized
• Possesses a warm, pastoral and affable demeanor, particularly when interfacing with parishioners
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Possesses a strong degree of initiative and agency and has the ability to work well on their own.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree is required.  Master’s degree or other experience.
