As one of New Jersey’s oldest and largest agencies, Catholic Charities serves close to 100,000 individuals and families each year in over 87 programs. Its mission is to improve the quality of people’s lives and enhance their self-worth and dignity by providing superior social service, behavioral health, and education programs, and by advocating for justice in all human relationships. The organization focuses on strengthening and preserving family life while restoring the dignity of each individual. The programs provide shelters for the homeless, food to the impoverished; care for the elderly and mentally ill, and education to children with developmental disabilities.
