This translation must be used beginning on April 16, 2023.

Misal Romano

On May 1, 2018, the Misal Romano was published, the first Spanish language translation of the Roman Missal approved for use in the United States by the USCCB and confirmed by the Apostolic See.

The Misal Romano is available in two editions: the Deluxe Leather Altar edition and the Clothbound Chapel edition.

Excerpts from the Roman Missal (also known formally as the “Book of the Chair”) represents a worthy and welcome solution to a commonly voiced concern: the Roman Missal is a large and heavy book, difficult for altar servers (who are often children) to hold for the celebrant and to carry around the sanctuary. Developed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and approved by the Holy See, Excerpts from the Roman Missal includes only those texts from the Missal that are used by the celebrant at the chair, resulting in a volume that is approximately half the size of the full Missal.

The Order of Confirmation
Ritual para la Confirmación

The Order of Confirmation / Ritual para la Confirmación has an updated English translation that the Holy See approved with its recognitio in 2015. Beginning on Pentecost 2016, this text becomes the required English translation for the Order of Confirmation for use in the United States. The Spanish-language text of the rite is also included.

The bilingual text includes rites for the following: Confirmation within Mass, Confirmation outside Mass, and Confirmation for a Person in Danger of Death. It also has Confirmation prayers from the Roman Missal and lists the lectionary readings that can be used.

The bilingual text is presented on beautiful natural white paper with a royal-red bonded leather hardcover and gold-foil cover art.

2017 Lectionary for Mass Supplement

This resource gathers in one convenient volume those additions or changes that have been made to the current four-volume Lectionary for Mass published between 1998 and 2002.  Additions or modifications made to the Lectionary affect the Proper of Time, the Proper of Saints, Ritual Masses, Masses for Various Needs and Occasions and Votive Masses.

The proper Psalms for the Extended Form of the Vigil Mass for Pentecost have been added.  The four Old Testament Readings are provided in their appropriate sequence, with the proper Psalm following each Reading.

The Readings and Psalms for the Mass for Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life, previously located through the four-volume Lectionary, are now collected altogether.  They may be used on the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children (January 22) or on other occasions focusing on the dignity of human life.  It includes canonizations since 2002, liturgical celebrations transferred to new dates, and suggested readings added by the Holy See.
